Tabby - Grey - Bucky - Barn Cat - Medium - Adult - Male - Cat
Bucky
Bucky and his littermates were born about April 1, 2006 and were the first feral kittens Paws Patrol took in. He is now a large grey tabby and is still feral.
The litter was born on a ranch in Tubac and most had a herpes virus along with other kitten ailments. The virus severely affected the eyesight of some of the kittens, and Bucky was one of those. In October 2006, a senior lady asked to adopt Bucky and his sister, Scout. For the next six years, she delighted in having the kitties to keep her company. Scout blossomed but Bucky never lost his feral nature. During that time, there were few other people for him to meet and no cats, dogs or children. He did ok in the house and would sometimes sit on his human mom?s lap.
Just recently, his mom died and Paws Patrol took back the two cats and put them in a foster home. Bucky has probably ½ of his vision in both eyes and that contributes to his fear of anyone or anything approaching him. He is up to date on vaccines and negative for FELV and FIV.
The stress of losing his home and mom has been difficult for Bucky but he is taking it in stride. He is being kept in a kennel and needs to have more space?inside and no other animals. Getting to see and hear humans is good for him, so perhaps you might have a situation where he could live.
Paws Patrol will waive the adoption fees but applicants must complete the application and be screened.
Paws Patrol kitties are $65 for one and $100 for two. Please refer to your adoption packet to see all the veterinary tests and procedures that have already been done.
